We have received a fair amount of complaints about some really good contests getting a lot of negative votes! While we don’t really know the main reason, we suspect that users are intentionally voting down contests created by some users (such as Sidhana, Vaishal, gameguru etc).
But why would anyone do that?
Since currently the Best Creators are being listed according to the number of votes their contests have received – some users are under the misconception that the award of the best creator would depend on the total number of votes you’ve received.
Here I would like to clarify something – The best creator WILL NOT BE SELECTED based on the number of votes one has received. The best creator will be selected by the C2W moderators and the criteria for selection would be: Quality of Contests created and the number of such quality contests.
I hope this post would have cleared some of your doubts regarding the best creators. Would also like to remind all of you that we are having a – Create the best Video Contest competition. This will run till the 15th of March, so you still have some time to create an awesome Video contest.

yeah votes shouldn’t be the criteria for choosing the best creator. the quality of contests should be the criteria. there are some awesome contests in c2w. innovation and creativity should be rewarded.

I too give negative votes, but those are for contest which I really don’t like or get irritated playing with. I never give negative votes to a really good contest or vote negative for a user. If such things happen on c2w, the its bad. Its good that c2w moderators assess a contest based on quality & not on quantity on votes!!!

Guys are really manupulating voting system.
have noticed this for a whole day…. and saw a diffrence of more that 10 votes from morning to evenin.
Guys are clever enough to give negetive votes to contest that has been created sometimes back. (not displayed on page 1)
Another Example : Crossword – world of Ads….. 20 negetive votes though i feel that’s a good Contest (with prize points)

yeah you are absolutely right … votes shouldn’t be the criteria . there people who are just voting down unnecessarily… no idea what are they benefitting from it … It was a good action for not deteremining the best contests..
