We get around 200 contests created everyday by our users. 200 is a huge number! Its not possible to give prizes and prize points to all these contests. So we are going to try out something new…

I received a mail a few days back by a user who said:

“You are not picking any of my contests for prizes or prize points. Because of this no one is playing my contest and this is the main reason I’m not making an money through my AdAccount. I don’t like asking people to click on my ads so I was wondering if I could add a prize to my own contest.”

Well we are going to try and experiment with this. If you want to attach a prize to your contest, all you have to do is send me a mail at devil@c2w.com along with the URL of the contest you’ve created and the prize which you want to give away. If approved you’ll have to courier the prize to us. Once the contest is over we will give it out to the winner. We’ll handle the courier charges while sending it to the winner (so you don’t have to pay for the courier charges twice).

Prize ideas?
It can be a cool book which you bought last month and now have no use for! Digital prizes would be cool too, like transferring Rs 200 cash to the winners bank account, a GiftMate voucher or OxiCash Mobile recharge voucher or maybe even a RapidShare premium account?

Please comment and let us know what you think about this concept.

Its A Great Idea, Some time the best contests misses out, it will success too, go ahead & we all are with c2w

  2. dhatam7 Says:

Nice concept c2w! But just one thing I wanted to ask is that can we send this prize directly to the winner, so that double courier charges are saved???

  3. shweta Says:

i think this idea is absolutely brilliant..this is good for c2w,creators as well as the players..one suggestion is how abt u guys give the prize and the creators jus give the money..that ways we save courier charges and the headache of selecting the prize..we can directly transfer the money to c2w..

  4. Rahul Borkar Says:

Nice One Idea ! C2w Rocks, Babumoshai Lage Raho :o )

  5. Mohit Delhiwala Says:

Great idea Devil. I hope I can put this idea into application. Peace. :)

    Hey,
Another Great Idea that C2W ever has come up with.
But, I would like to give a suggestion for this idea to work good.
Just confirm the prize sent to you is original and not fake, defective, Second-hand/Used, Etc.
If so just mention the same on the contest you are adding it.
    Peace.

  7. Praveen Says:

Thats a nice idea Devil. One little suggestion that i have is that even if prizes are not allocated to contests,It would be really nice if the moderators could leave their feedbacks in the contests. This would act as a source of encouragement and at the same time inspire the creators to correct their mistakes and churn out better quality contests.

    Thanks.

  8. Mridul a.k.a mridulrulez Says:

    Gr8 idea.!!!

  9. ANKIT BHATIA Says:

Well I may appear a bit critic of this idea, the reason is that it needs a perfect implementation, coz In my view the prize needs to be in C2W’s hands before the contest goes online, because the creator might declare the prize but never send actually and the contest will be approved & online and C2W will have to pay it by it’s pocket(ya I know C2W’s pocket are still big enuf, but still!!)

2ndly as u mentioned that creator might transfer money to winners account but still can we trust creator this much, after the contest has gained publicity and creator gained by it then he might not keep the vow!!.

But on the brighter side I still think this idea has a gr8 potential!!

  10. shweta Says:

come on..its obvious c2w wil add the prize only after they have it in hand…am sure they must have already thought that through..but i still stand by dhatam’s suggestion to let us convert our prize points into a prize and add it to a contest..i really liked the idea of using books(which we read jus once max twice but they look brand new) as prizes..even other stuff at home which is in very good condition can be used..

  11. dhatam7 Says:

I would like to extend my suggestion as to sending the prizes directly to the winners by creators. I want to say that this liberty should be given only to cream users whom c2w trusts like Rahuls (rahul242424 & d3thruless), Shweta, Sidhana & so on. But of course, c2w is still good enough to decide on that!!!

  12. Rahul M Says:

    Sounds Good to me!

That would be a great Idea….. But for users who live outside mumbai would be a problem…..

Time consuming….. Sending Prize to C2W and than it would be alloted a prize and so on….

Need to derive a short process…

  13. dhatam7 Says:

Hey friends! I became the first member of this club of adding prize to our contests. I donated my cheque of Rs. 100 from “Crossword of the Week” to one of my contest. Hope, others have found one more idea of implementing this idea. Thanks C2W team for implementing this idea effectively!!!

  14. Mohit Delhiwala Says:

Er – a stupid question but the power to decide the contest winner still resides with the Contests2Win staff, right? Otherwise, the creator might allot the prize to a friend and gain the prize back so that he gets all for nothing. I know this is very foolish indeed but just thought it would be helpful if you could elaborate the point. ;)

To Dhaval – Thats very generous of you. As I said before, I hope I can put the idea into application myself. Peace. :)

    – Mohit

  15. shweta Says:

is it possible tat we can assign our prize points to our contests..for example if my contest has 10 questions then i wil havta give up 50 points(5 per question)..if the points are very less then maybe u can increase the number of points required to assign to our own contests..

  16. shweta Says:

this ways c2w wil not be at a loss in anyway and loads and loads of creators wil be able to assign points to loads and loads of contests and u wil get a hike in the number of ppl playing contests coz ppl r always greedy for contests with prize points..this ways we wont have any disappointment tat ppl aint playing our contests..it might become a mess coz there wil be inumerable contests with prize points but am sure u guys wil know how to organise it..

  17. shweta Says:

i jus realized tat if too many contests have prize points it wil become too easy for users to earn prize points and redeem gifts..so my suggestion is u keep a separate category for these contests and the prize points earned by these contests shud only be used for assigning to their own contests and not for redeeming gifts..this ways there wil definetly be a boom in adsense as more and more users wil get interested in creating contests..

  18. dhatam7 Says:

    @Mohit
Of course…C2W will choose the winner, bcoz the creators won’t have any data regarding the top scorers or all those who have played the contest.

    @Shweta
Its a good idea! I would like to implement it if it is available!!!

  19. shweta Says:

gah@my idea..now comin to think of it..its rather stupid..coz finally only the creators wil play each others contests and no one wil wanna click on each others ads..so lemme close it wil a final suggestion..probably 500 prize points can be given up for every contest..its a big number and so we wil be able to assign it to only to limited contests…

  20. ANKIT BHATIA Says:

I will like to mention that C2W can have some choices of prizes, and each of them with a prize tag for the creator, then creator can select his gift for putting up for contest, send the cheque to C2W, and when cheque reaches C2W, the prize can be declared for contest, in this way cheque will reach faster then the gifts, also gifts can be put up by C2W directly, so it will be an efficient system…
